Make your own beeswax cloth

We waste quite a bit of plastic over the course of our lives. With your own beeswax cloth, you no longer have to waste a plastic bag every time you want store food. Of course you could buy one, but isn't it more fun to make on yourself? During this workshop at organic farm De Groene Griffioen you can do exactly that. In one of their barns, you will learn all about making and using your own beeswax cloth. How much time you want to spend on your creation is all up to you. You are free to join between 11:00 and 12:30, as well as 13:30 and 15:00. The experts at the farm will be at your disposal.

Bring your own cloth

It's important that you bring your own cloth. It needs to be made from 100% cotton and washed without fabric softener. This could be the fabric of a fun shirt, and old t-shirt, or old linens. It should be 28 by 28 centimeters, or smaller. Are you not able to bring your own cloth? The farm can also provide one for you. Their stock is limited, so it's good to bring your own if you own if you can.

After the workshop, you can take a stroll around the local farms. There's a little playground for children on the property. You can also visit the animals, or buy some ice cream at the farmer's shop.

Practical information

The workshops take place between 11:00 and 12:30, as well as 13:30 and 15:00. Bring your own cotton cloth. Up to 25 people can partake in any workshop.
