Chamber choir PA'dam

PA'dam   is a contemporary vocal ensemble, consisting of versatile, ambitious professionals and is under the energetic leadership of conductor Maria van Nieukerken. They distinguish themselves by an enterprising attitude, versatile programming and original approach. From PA'dam sings(!) Bach's Goldberg Variations to Efteling in Concert with the Metropole Orchestra in Ahoy Rotterdam. From the subtle Canto Ostinato - The Vocal Experience to symphonic metal with EPICA in Afas Live... and from next season also in the new Bach series in the Waalse Kerk Amsterdam!

Nicholas Consort

The Nicolaas Consort was founded by organist Wim Dijkstra and consists of professional musicians from numerous national, professional ensembles and orchestras. In addition to experienced instrumentalists, young, ambitious musicians are regularly part of the ensemble. The musicians have a great affinity with Bach's music.

Artistic leaders

Maria van Nieukerken is conductor & artistic director of PA'dam and Toonkunst Rotterdam, among others. Since 2023, Maria has been affiliated with the Conservatory of Amsterdam as a main subject teacher in Choral Conducting. With PA'dam, Maria initiates unique productions, such as Bach's Goldberg Variations and Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt in a vocal version.

Wim Dijkstra has an extensive concert practice as an organist, accompanist and continuo player. He plays the monumental Gerstenhauer organ (1780) of the Grote Kerk in Monnickendam. Wim is the founder and musical director of the Nicolaas Consort. He is also conductor of Opera Festa.
