New York-based Been Stellar makes unruly shoegaze with a discontented charge. The five-piece taps into the spirit of previous New York greats such as Interpol and Sonic Youth with their sound, and is therefore the new face of the scene.

Scream From New York, NY

Their upcoming album, called Scream From New York, NY , is about what happens when language fails, both between friends and partners and between a city and its inhabitants. When words no longer work, sometimes a scream is the only thing that will help, the band believes. After their performance at the last edition of London Calling, Been Stellar will return this fall for their own concert in Bitterzoet.
