Bösendorfer Piano Series: Aidan Mikdad

About Aidan Mikdad

He is only 23 years old, but Dutch pianist Aidan Mikdad already has a wonderful career to his name. In July 2023, he received 'The Queen's recommendation for excellence' during his graduation ceremony at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he also obtained his master's degree cum laude. He obtained his bachelor's degree with professor Naum Grubert at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the highest possible distinction. From a young age, Aidan has participated in international piano competitions and already has a full trophy cabinet. Mikdad also proved himself to the general public when he was asked to step in at the last minute for the legendary Arcadi Volodos during the World Master Pianists recital in Amare in 2022. He managed to enchant the audience with his rendition of Skrjabin's Nocturne pour la main gauche seule op. 9, no. 2, a challenge that only the most gifted pianists dare to take on. The standing ovation that followed was an expression of genuine admiration for the artistry and virtuosity that Aidan displayed.
