Bösendorfer Piano Series: Aidan Mikdad
Each season, the Bsendorfer Piano Series offers a stage to Dutch emerging talent, this season: Aidan Mikdad. At the age of only 19, he proved himself as the youngest semi-finalist during the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition. He opens the evening with Beethoven's 'Sonata No. 28', in which Beethoven explores the boundaries of harmony, form and the range of the piano. Rachmaninov also explored the boundaries of pianistic ability in his 'Corelli Variations'. Mikdad concludes his recital with a highlight in 19th-century piano music: Chopin's 'Sonata No. 3'. An evening full of inspiration and discoveries in De Waalse Kerk.
