Berget's versatility in the field of soul, pop and gospel touches many people right in the heart. She is now known as one of the country's greatest divas, but she once started modestly. In 1998 she founded her own formation: The Berget Lewis Gospel Train. Gospel is essential to Berget. At the age of fifteen she toured America with it. In everything, her career, her music and her private life she carries her faith with her and gospel and soul music form the basis of her musical path. That path brought her many highlights. For example, when she won the program Just the two of us together with Edwin Evers, played the leading role in the musical Dreamgirls , played the role of Maria in The Passion and as one of the leading ladies in the Ziggo spectacle The Ladies Of Soul . She also made a name for herself internationally. She shared the stage with international artists such as Van Morrison, Dave Stewart, David Foster and Maceo Parker. For tonight's concert Berget invites several of her best musical friends. Including singer Trijntje Oosterhuis and saxophonist Candy Dulfer, both of whom previously shared the stage with Berget, including during Ladies of Soul .

The Best Singers

In addition to her three solo albums, Berget also has a number of successful theater tours to her name. In the TV hit De Beste Zangers she was crowned the best singer in the Netherlands and she blew everyone away during her participation in The X Factor in the United Kingdom. In 2019 she paid tribute to Tina Turner with the release of a live EP and a performance in the Concertgebouw. It was the basis for her We Are One / Celebrate Tina theater tour, with which she played in sold-out halls in 2023 and 2024.
