Musical centipede
American country artist Darius Rucker is a musical jack-of-all-trades whose talent transcends genre boundaries. His career began as the frontman of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish. With albums like 'Cracked Rear View' the band conquered the hearts of music lovers.
When the band breaks up, Rucker starts a solo career. After experimenting with both R&B and the country, he decided that the country was the best fit. A decision that did him no harm; Rucker, thanks in part to his distinctive voice and heartfelt lyrics, achieved four Billboard No. 1 country albums and convincingly left their mark on the country scene.
Grammys
His achievements did not go unnoticed at the Grammys either; in 2014, he won his 3rd Grammy for 'Best Solo Country Performance'. The guitarist creates a timeless sound that evokes both melancholy and excitement in his listeners. On April 24, Darius Rucker returns to Paradiso after six years.
