A unique musical journey into the elegance of 19th-century European salons through the refined sounds of the lyre-guitar, a rare instrument inspired by the lyre of Ancient Greece. Played by noblewomen and musicians of the time, it accompanied famous singers like Joseph Dominique Fabry-Garat and Johann Michael Vogl, a close friend of Franz Schubert.

The instrument featured in the concert, built in 1806 in Paris by luthier Henry Lejeune, is part of Maestro Domenico Lafasciano’s private collection. With its twelve gut strings, it represents a key transition between the baroque guitar and the modern six-string guitar.

To recreate the authentic atmosphere of the time, Maestro Lafasciano��an internationally renowned guitarist—will perform in historical costume, presenting works by composers who shaped Parisian salons: Charles de Marescot, Charles Doisy, Ferdinando Carulli, Leonhard Von Call, Filippo Gragnani
