In Young Talent in the Oude Wester, several up-and-coming and promising musicians play in Amsterdam's iconic Westerkerk. Together with Evan Bogerd, the organist of the Westerkerk, a young talent presents a varied program filled with solo pieces and compositions. Entrance is free.

Jasmijn Calis

Recorder player Jasmijn Calis made her debut at the Grachtenfestival 2022 in the House, Garden and Roof Terrace series, and she also won the Bunschoten Younger Talent Prize at the festival that year. Jasmijn is currently studying at the Sweelinck Academy, and she and Evan put together a varied program for the Westerkerk. With her motto, 'a day without whistling is a day wasted', Jasmijn expresses her love for music and recorder playing, and this will certainly be heard during her performance in the Oude Wester.
