From Rameau to Rachmaninov by Nathalia Milstein
It is time to present Nathalia Milstein, a true artist who possesses a superb technique and comes from a very musical family, in the Piano series with a solo recital that is as beautiful as it is challenging. She delivers on the promise with the challenging program that leads from Rameau via Fauré's rarely heard Thème et variations and Debussy's Images to Rachmaninov. You can hear her in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
From Rameau to Rachmaninov by Nathalia Milstein
One of the greatest talents of the new generation
French-born Nathalia Milstein, sister of violinist Maria, comes from a Russian family of musicians; her grandfather was the piano teacher of such greats as Bella Davidovich and Elisabeth Leonskaya. She learned the trade from her father, from Nelson Goerner and from András Schiff. Since her breakthrough after winning the Dublin International Piano Competition in 2015, she has been praised for her 'completely polished, characterful playing', as de Volkskrant wrote in response to her latest solo CD Visions Fugitives.
