Gulmira Issabekova & Arthur Akaev
In one of the most monumental canal houses, the Staetshuys, located on the Golden Bend, tenor Arthur Akaev and pianist Gulmira Issabekova take you on a musical journey through history. A varied program full of songs, arias and piano music from Bach to Beethoven, from Schubert to Schumann.

A fusion of vocals and piano
Arthur is a singer with a unique sound. Whether he is singing songs by Tchaikovsky, from his homeland and close to his Russian soul, or Italian opera repertoire by Bellini and Giordano, he has a voice that you are drawn to.
Pianist Gulmira's playing is not only virtuoso but, above all, poetic. While Arthur catches his breath, she plays a number of interludes solo: a movement from a sonata by Beethoven and The Well-Tempered Clavier by Bach.
A varied program full of beauty and emotion naturally gets a golden edge at this beautiful location.
