In the intimate setting of the Marionettentheater, only one musician shines: the incomparable cellist Lidy Blijdorp. She enchants the audience with the depth and splendor of Johann Sebastian Bach's 1st cello suite and Ligeti's phenomenal sonata. Lidy has won numerous prizes, including the PCC, Charles Hennen Competition, Amsterdam Cellobiennale, Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Competition and Prix Academie Maurice Ravel. Her debut CD Journeyers received no fewer than 2 Edisons. Lidy graduated Cum Laude from the conservatories of The Hague, Amsterdam and Paris.
