If it's not god at least man
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED. A musical journey that begins at the origins of purely Christian and liturgical music, describing a world in which man is part of a society that worships a deity that represents “everything” (his creator and reason for being) and that gives deep meaning to his life. Come and listen to the 1st, 2nd and 4th part of David Maslanka's Recitation Book. After these sacred pieces comes the fifth part: Durch Adams Fall, which symbolizes the moment when man is banished to earth and becomes mortal.
If it's not god at least man
If it's not god at least man
In the continuation of the journey, man begins to throw off this divine burden and focuses more on what is happening inside and around him. This also brings with it unrest and despair. Because now that man is no longer protected by a God, he himself is the sole owner of his decisions. This feeling of despair is heartbreakingly expressed in Carlo Gesualdo's madrigal Eccò morir dunque
The music continues to develop when a moment of remembrance of the divine period comes to mind. The piece that represents this moment is the 2nd movement of Glazunov's saxophone quartet
