Dutch garage rock trio KrachtStroom presents its third EP 'Keerzijde' in Volta, Houtmankade 336 (in Amsterdam West). The band from Amsterdam always plays with styles such as punk, stoner rock and grunge. The support act is the Nederpoppunk band Relatief.

Amsterdam power trio

KrachtStroom is an Amsterdam power trio that, in addition to singer and guitarist Lex Coppoolse, consists of bassist Paul van den Heuvel and drummer Marnix Timman. The band plays Dutch garage rock with stoner and punk influences, but grunge is never far away. The members of KrachtStroom agree that they want to rock, but not always straight forward. The band finds original angles in rhythms, chords and lyrics. And all in Dutch, the language closest to singer and guitarist Lex Coppoolse. In the past, the songwriter rapped in Dutch in a crossover company and then played in an English-language rock band. But he finds the best of all worlds plus a healthy dose of garage rock in KrachtStroom.
