Las Lloronas - Amstelkerk
Powerful Vulnerability by Las Lloranas.
Las Lloronas - Amstelkerk
Poetry with a feminist edge
The Brussels women's trio Las Lloronas loves “small cafes, village squares, the warmth of a living room”. In such places, their three-part harmony flourishes optimally. But musicians such as Lhasa de Sela, Noname and Ibeyi are also a source of inspiration for their overwhelming concerts full of feminist poetry. Then Spanish folk and playful hip-hop merge with Ladino and blues influences, and with Las Lloronas, you experience “a moment of powerful vulnerability, on the border between lament, daydream and battle cry”. It is not without reason that they play on 8 and 9 March, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Their new album 'Out of the Blue' was recently released.
Amber in 't Veld - vocals, guitar (ES/NL); Sura Solomon - vocals, accordion, ukulele (BE/USA); Marieke Werner - vocals, clarinet (DE).
