Trio Cortenbach
Cellist Florianne Remme, pianist Alexander Declercq, and clarinetist Emile Souvagie formed the Cortenbach Trio at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels 5 years ago. Since then, they have given concerts in Leipzig (Mendelssohnhaus & Schumannhuis) and Mechelen (Young Fazioli Fest) and performed at Musiq3 and Podium Witteman.

About the trio
Emile Souvagie says: 'What unites us as a trio is the love for lyricism and continually challenging each other to interpret a phrase as beautifully as one of the other two has just done it. It is always a challenge to almost merge the clarinet and cello into one instrument and to have that as a goal.' This commitment to musical expression and unity resonates deeply in their performances, creating an unforgettable experience for the audience. Today's program includes the beautiful clarinet trio by Arvo Pärt.
