Contemplation in memorial works by a great composer

The program highlights mortality with Requiem Canticles and honors John F. Kennedy, Dylan Thomas and TS Eliot with Stravinsky's subdued elegy. The concert's final pieces evoke a serene and contemplative mood, characterized by their ethereal melodies and harmonies. Stravinsky evokes a sense of spiritual reverence with these pieces, with the soft and transcendent musical phrases creating an atmosphere of introspection and meditation.

This concert will be broadcast later by the NTR on NPO Klassiek
