Virtuoso ud player and composer Mehmet Polat is known for his innovative sound. With his band he brings a unique mix of jazz and traditional music styles. Their compositions are created through contemplation, experimentation, emotions, adventure and virtuosity. Polat plays with time signatures that you often hear in non-Western music, such as 5/4, 7/4 and 9/8, which makes for dynamic music, supported by his warm ud sounds.
