Festival Bruckner Casco

During the Bruckner Casco festival, fourteen composers will write a new work inspired by Anton Bruckner's symphonies. Maxim Shalygin, the 'master of creating unusual sounds' (de Volkskrant) who lives in the Netherlands, brings a detail from Bruckner's enormous Eighth Symphony to the language of today in Bleeding for thirteen brass instruments.

World premiere

The commissioned work will have its world premiere on Saturday, 14 September, at 20:15 during the concert by the Ludwig Orchestra conducted by Arie van Beek.
