Join English choir Tenebrae on a spiritual pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella. Commissioned by Tenebrae, British composer Joby Talbot wrote his choral work Path of Miracles in 2005. Since then, several recordings of it have been made. Gramophone wrote: ‘Epic, mystical quality – charged with the same sacred energy that draws listeners to the music of John Tavener and Arvo Pärt.’
Passion and precision – that’s what Tenebrae is known for. A true testament to the spirit of English choral music. ‘Devastatingly beautiful’, wrote Gramophone. ‘Phenomenal’, according to The Times. After their Christmas concert in 2022 at the Muziekgebouw, the Volkskrant wrote: ‘Physical delight: the chords vibrate with perfection.’ Talbot used texts from 15th-century choral works and from the Roman liturgy. This concert, this journey, promises to be a real Easter experience.
