Orchestre Partout Lab # 16 Eric Vloeimans & Hashem Kabreet

One-time concert

In two days full of unexpected musical encounters and experiments, eight students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and eight musicians from the Middle East create a unique one-off concert, coached by Vloeimans and Hashem. The starting points of the Orchestre Partout Labs are determined, the outcomes uncertain.

Rapture, alienation and infectious energy go hand in hand. Trumpeter Eric Vloeimans does not do pigeonholes or barriers. It is the joy in music that connects and everything is allowed to pass by, from influences of Pat Metheny and Clifford Brown to sounds of the Balkans and the Caribbean. The common thread in his work is melodic and lyrical power and a characteristic sound, on the one hand glowing and on the other velvety and whispering.

Co-host and co-creator of the Orchestre Partout Labs is Hashem Kabreet. The Syrian percussionist (framedrums/derbuka/cajon) and handpan player knows how to guide any diverse group of musicians through the creative process. Hashem is the constant factor in all Orchestre Partout Labs.
