In two days filled with unexpected musical encounters and experiments, eight students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and eight musicians from the Middle East will create a unique one-time concert on Tuesday, 17 September, coached by Mark Tuinstra and Hashem Kabreet. The starting points of Club Partout Labs are set, but the outcomes remain unknown. Expect enchantment, estrangement, and infectious energy to go hand in hand.

Mark Tuinstra is a versatile, self-taught guitarist with a wide-ranging focus. He loves jazz and free improvisation, as well as African, Indian music, and pop. This diversity shows his eagerness to collaborate with others, unrestricted by musical boundaries or conventions. He has toured across Europe, Brazil, Guatemala, Turkey, Japan, Senegal, Egypt, Jordan, Beirut, Japan, South Africa, and more. In the Netherlands, he has performed at festivals like Lowlands and Music Meeting, as well as numerous jazz venues. His own compositions blend various musical influences, resulting in unique and intriguing pieces.

Co-host and co-creator of Club Partout Labs is Hashem Kabreet, a percussionist (framedrums/derbuka/cajon) and handpan player from Syria. Hashem expertly guides diverse groups of musicians through the creative process and is a constant presence in all Club Partout Labs. This edition features performances by the bands FaKruTu and Pelican Three.
