Versatile chamber music
Formed in 2021 by Hannah Koob (Germany) and Nuno Silva (Portugal), the [uan] duo is a versatile chamber music group.
Their new album, Originals, tells the story of these two sound explorers, Hannah and Nuno, who have spent the past two years relentlessly jumping from one collaboration to another, meeting unique composers along the way.
Hannah and Nuno are both based in the Netherlands, and come together to share their passion for music and actively participate in the colourful and vibrant European classical music scene. In just two years, this saxophone duo has already collaborated with several artists and composers, resulting in six new works, all commissioned by the [uan] duo, adding to the short list of saxophone duos.
International
Among others, the [uan] duo has already performed at the Concertgebouw-Amsterdam and has been guest performers on NPO classical several times. Besides the Netherlands, they have already performed concerts in Germany, Portugal and Switzerland.
Known for their strong stage presence and enthusiasm, they seek to take their listeners to different parts of the world; from the intimacy naturally offered by the saxophone duo, to timbres that remind the listener of those of an orchestra.
Debut album
"ORIGINALS" (2024), their debut album contains exclusively commissioned works; José Mora-Jiménez, Eveline Vervliet, Raivis Misjuns, Eduardo Cardinho, Camila Menino and José Soares are the architects of this new project that now comes to life...
This CD release is intended to be a new beginning, with new composers and new music! Let yourself be taken into a new world that showcases not only saxophone sounds, but much more!
