The name Goldberg immediately makes us think of Bach's Goldberg Variations. Less well known is that Goldberg was one of Bach's last students and a gifted composer, who unfortunately died at the age of 29. Noriko Amano plays the Harpsichord Concerto in D minor, in which not only Goldberg's great musical qualities can be heard, but also the transition to Mozart's later style.
