Wide range of genres
Sababa 5 was formed by a group of musicians known for their collaboration with top Tel Aviv artists and singers such as Gili Yalo, Ester Rada and Liraz Charhi, as well as famous groups such as Hoodna Orchestra, Tigris and Kutiman Orchestra. Sababa 5's music revolves around Mediterranean rhythms and melodies, along with sounds from the worlds of rock and psychedelic funk, creating a true blend of East and West. The band members are influenced by a wide range of genres, from crushing crew recordings of the '60s to analogue Middle Eastern music of the '70s. The band's sound constantly circles around different styles and rhythms, but at its core Sababa 5 always remains a groove-centric band.
