Hilary Hahn plays Ginastera's Violin Concerto

Top American violinist Hilary Hahn plays one of her favourite violin concertos with the So Paulo Symphony Orchestra and conductor Thierry Fischer. She passionately advocates this exceptionally challenging violin concerto, which is rarely performed. "Hahn's exciting performance may change that," writes Strings Magazine about her successful 2022 CD recording.

Eine Alpensinfonie by Richard Strauss

"While I wait for your input, I am busy writing a symphony," Richard Strauss wrote to his librettist Hugo von Hofmannsthal in 1911, shortly after the successful premiere of Der Rosenkavelier. Strauss referred to Eine Alpensinfonie, a musical poem about an adventurous walk through the Alps. With a vast orchestra of approximately 130 musicians, Strauss conjures up various natural phenomena, from a radiant sunrise and a sparkling waterfall to spectacular views and a turbulent storm.
