Repeated due to success: Anka kuşu by Fazil Say, already heard in Het Concertgebouw last season. During the corona pandemic, Lucas and Arthur Jussen asked Say, who had previously written for them, for a new work. The result is a concerto for four-hand piano and orchestra, based on the Phoenix legend, the story of the bird that rises again and again from its ashes. Aladdin's magic lamp will also illuminate this concert, but an even greater miracle takes place when the romantic introduction to Schubert's Ninth Symphony sounds. Enchanting music!
