Uncompromising collaboration by wordsmiths and musicians

The Belgian-Moroccan lawyer, Myriem El-Kaddouri, poet and wordsmith made her debut at the Museum for Circular Economy in Antwerp in 2022, with a poetry installation focused on the theme of contradictory information. Last year she became West Flemish Slam Poetry champion. Myriem will publish her first poetry collection with Uitgeverij Vrijdag this summer. She writes from a radical softness about identity, society, psyche and relationships.

Silke Veld

Silke Veld is a Dutch-speaking singer-songwriter from Enschede. Her love for singing started at the age of nine. Silke's music is about all the normal and less normal things in her life that she feels something about. With her cool anecdotes, interspersed with the occasional deep question about life, Silke throws you in all directions and only lets you go when it is time. Silke's debut EP Geen Last Words was released in 2023.

Mahat Arab

Mahat Arab is an Arnhem spoken word artist who has now settled in Amsterdam. As a child of Somali refugees, many of his lyrics are about identity, awkwardness, but also about the humor we can encounter in discomfort. In 2021, one of his poems was awarded the win of the ILFU Story Competition and in 2023 a film adaptation of this poem won the prize for best Dutch Poetry Film.
