Seán Morgan-Rooney is a pianist who transports his audience to a dream world of his own making. 'Intelligent and imaginative' is how the professional jury of Dutch Classical Talent praised his playing. A Few Reflect the Heart is a program in which Morgan-Rooney combines Maurice Ravel's impressionistic piano cycle, Miroirs, with his compositions for piano and electronics. The result is an intoxicating soundscape that seems almost made for the outdoors on the terrace.

Transporting soundscape around Ravel
Seán Morgan-Rooney comes from Ireland, where he is considered one of the great piano talents. He has been based in the Netherlands for several years, making himself heard with well-thought-out programs and passionate playing. Miroirs is a five-part cycle that Ravel wrote for his avant-garde friends in the early 20th century. Morgan-Rooney's setting also echoes fragments of composers such as Igor Stravinsky and Claude Debussy.
