The Grand Piano Series | Kasper Schonewille plays Mendelssohn en Mussorgsky
Performing on Thursday March 20th is Mendelssohn specialist Kasper Schonewille. Schonewille's deep interest in the music of the 19th century sparked his interest in the original instruments of the era. Playing the original Érard grand pianos, like the one we have at TenClub, allows Schonewille, in his own words, "to get much closer to the intention of the music". In 2023, Kasper wrote history as the first Dutchman to ever play on the very same Érard grand piano that was used for Franz Liszt and Sigismund Thalberg concert in 1837.
