Punk is back, this time in a renewed form. It is not the punks of yesteryear who are breathing new life into the music, but young people, often under 20, tormented by lockdowns and saddled with a vision of the future shrouded in smog, which come with new energy.

The compilation album Uitholling Bovenlangs ('Hollowing Out from Above') presents 1 Belgian punk band and 7 Dutch ones, thus offering an incomplete overview of the flourishing punk scene in the Low Countries. An LP at 45 rpm because 33 is too slow for the racing brains of these punks. In collaboration with Plato Utrecht and Into The Great Wide Open, the album will be released on August 30.
On Wednesday, September 4, the 8 bands will perform their record in full force in the Main Hall of Paradiso. Uitholling Bovenlangs features The Covids, No Brains, Achterlicht, Clitteband, Eyesores, Maria Iscariot, Frontsector and Apeshit.
