Yoga-herdenkingsconcert - live muziek, poëzie & yin yoga

This is a ritual yoga concert to honour our ancestors, reflect on their heritage, mourn, and thus warm our hearts. Dymphi Peeters, with her kora and singing, will provide music and sound that can rightly be called 'healing'. André Meeusen recites appropriate poems, the participants contribute through a small ritual, and the yoga postures take the form of prayers and offerings.

Ritual

The participants actively contribute to this ritual yoga concert. Therefore, bring a trinket or meaningful object that you can place at an altar at an appropriate, ceremonial moment. This yoga concert is dedicated to 'those who died': victims of the war, those killed in the concentration camps, but also our own loved ones, people around us who we lost and carry in our hearts.

Yin yoga

The calm, meditative and, at the same time, intense postures of yin yoga provide the opportunity to sink deeper into consciousness beyond the thinking patterns of the mind. On the yoga mat, physical sensations intertwine with the musical improvisations. Thoughts calm down, creating space to encounter the music and poetry openly. Observing silence is the natural destination and the starting point from which this yoga concert is experienced.

Practical information

Doors open: 10:45 am.

Bring a mat, warm clothes, a water bottle, and props. If you don't have a mat, you can borrow one from a limited supply. The instructions and poetry are bilingual.
