How to reflect on the stresses of daily life
LICHT UIT (translation: lights off) offers a space to reflect on the stresses of daily life. Inspired by the documentary Brandstof and by sensory experiences, we look at burn-out from various perspectives. The works simulate over stimulation, create room for softness, encourage critical thinking and tell the stories of six young adults who have become burned out.
We live in a world where pressure to perform and constant stimuli seem to be the norm and burn-out is becoming increasingly common. It’s essential to not only look for individual solutions, but to also examine the societal context. LICHT UIT encourages you to critically reflect on how we interact with each other and with ourselves: to work towards a society where mental wellbeing takes centre stage.
