MILK SOLO: Maarten Nico
Artist Maarten Nico shows artworks that are about the Peter Pan Syndrome. This is a syndrome in which people find it difficult to become adults. Just like in Peter Pan, they flee from everyday reality in search of Neverland.

Embracing the Inner Child
Maarten Nico himself also yearns for a childlike view with which he can approach the world around him. A view in which everything is possible and nothing is fixed. According to the artist, this Peter Pan Syndrome can go hand in hand with an 'adult life'. That is why he invites the viewer through his art to embrace their inner child and to see the value of that open-mindedness.
The Milk Solo Lurking Neverland shows new work inspired by the daydreams of Maarten Nico. These daydreams arise in adult situations, for example while doing odd jobs around the house, while his thoughts have already wandered off and he is playing basketball in the sun on the square in the city.
This exhibition is supported by the Mondriaan Fund and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts.
