Open Oost organizes open studio route and central exhibition at special location Plantage Dok, Amsterdam Centrum-Oost

From 4 to 6 October 2024, the artist collective Open Oost is organising an open studio route and central exhibition in the Plantage Dokzaal in Amsterdam Centrum-Oost. This year, Open Oost is celebrating a special milestone: 25 years of open studios on the Oostelijke Eilanden, Kadijken and Entrepotdok.

Cultural event

For 3 days there will be a central exhibition in the Plantage Dokzaal and various artists will open their studios to the public. In addition to the exhibitions, musical performances and workshops are planned. More than 30 artists will show their work, including abstract and figurative paintings, ceramics, textiles, sculptures and photography. Most works are for sale. Goal

The aim of Open Oost is to bring visitors into direct contact with the work, the working environment and the working methods of artists who live and work in and around the Centrum-Oost area. By opening their studio or workspace to the public, the artists promote social cohesion and increase the visibility of their work. This opportunity offers artists a platform to profile themselves artistically and to sell their work.
