On April 11, 2024, Michel Didier will give a lecture on the flourishing of art and science during the Renaissance at the court of Habsburg Rudolf II in Prague.

Characteristic of the Renaissance was the invisible dividing line between art and science, astronomy and astrology, chemistry and alchemy. Alchemists were invited to Rudolf's court to make 'gold' and gain insight into the riddles of the cosmos. During this lecture, discover their finds and several important paintings and images with alchemical meanings.
Practical
The doors and café are open from 6:15 PM. The doors close at 7:15 PM. The lecture starts at 7:30 PM. You can ask questions from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Afterwards, you can buy a drink in the café. The lecture is in English, and you can also follow it online.
Everyone who has a ticket will receive the lecture recording by email within two weeks.
