Nina de la Parra - a radical clown experiment
Nina de la Parra, enfant-terrible of the Dutch theatre/cabaret landscape, will surprise you with a radical clown experiment. Please note: the end time mentioned is an indication.
Nina de la Parra - a radical clown experiment
Clowns?!
Yes. Nina decided last year to temporarily leave the Dutch-language theatre world to dip her toes into the famous clown schools of the world: the Why Not Institute in London and the Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris.
What should you expect? Well, Nina simply can't explain that in words. Something that has to do with radically opening yourself up to discomfort, and thereby radically opening yourself up to love. And she needs you for that. So just come and watch this experiment; it will be silly, serious, unserious, bizarre, uncomfortable and joyful at the same time. It will be something between a public rehearsal and a glimpse into Nina's creative process.
Oh yeah: one more thing. You're going to play along. So, grab the child that's still alive inside you by the scruff of the neck and come to the Speakeasy on January 10th.
