Paco Peña
Paco Peña, born in 1942 in Córdoba, Spain, is a world-class flamenco guitarist whose music combines the traditional and modern aspects of flamenco. From a young age, he showed an extraordinary passion and talent for flamenco guitar, leading him to perform professionally at the age of twelve. His deep connection to traditional flamenco was reinforced by his upbringing in Andalusia, the heart of flamenco culture.
His career took off in the 1960s when he moved to London, where he built a solid solo career and collaborated with prominent artists. Peña's ability to weave deep-rooted flamenco traditions with contemporary influences has earned him praise and admiration from critics and fans worldwide.
In addition to his performances on stage, Peña has played a significant role in the education of flamenco, sharing his knowledge and passion through workshops and courses around the world. His commitment to spreading flamenco has established him as a musician and an ambassador of Spanish culture.
