The way home Raphael Rodan, Emmy Storms & Mary Aygetsy
This English spoken perfomance can be seen at Bellevue Theatre. A wise man once said, “Think you're escaping and run into yourself. The longest way round is the shortest way home.” Mary Aygetsy traveled all the way from the mountains of Armenia to reunite with her love in the flattest country in the world. Raphael’s shoes led him to a country bordering one he can never visit—Iran. And Emmy, a Dutch woman, feels most at home in a lively pub in Dublin, where the sound of the fiddle weaves through the air.

They all share one thing: a longing. A longing to return to a place where everything feels complete. Armenian heart-breaking songs, ecstatic tunes on the fiddle, and stories from Jewish heritage, together they explore this universal craving we all share.
