This project started during the lockdown as a personal exploration of the seven deadly sins such as lust, anger and betrayal. Voesten delves deep into his own psyche, inspired by Dante's journey through hell, resulting in a repertoire full of connections, motifs and emotions.

Junior Grachtenfestival: Beth & Flo (4+)

Beth & Flo are two remarkable pianists. Cheerful and sometimes a bit crazy. They race over the keys with 20 fingers at the same time but also play beautifully soft and dreamy. They are very good friends, but they also argue regularly. That doesn't matter because while they argue, they keep playing (and you can hear how that sounds on the piano in this concert). Furthermore, Flo likes to imitate animal sounds on the piano, preferably dangerous, loud, roaring ones, and Beth loves singing and blowing bubbles.

Petrichor takes you on a folkloric journey and today presents a selection of songs inspired by pain and love. Ciwan, Jivan and Petra present love in Levli Levlilgan and express the excitement and sadness that this love brings. In Sive, they sing about the search for a shadow during forced migration as a result of war, and in Dido, they talk about the pain of a woman who had to leave her home country because of love.

Discover the world of sound and imagination with Houtje-touwtje, a musical story especially for young adventurers! Can you find something without looking for it? Do you dare to look inside someone else? And with yourself? Do you prefer to play together or alone? Tom Wolfs (clarinet) and Lotte van Dijck (vocals, drawings) met on a stage and decided to create a short performance together for a young audience. Piece of cake is an encounter between two figures who are both searching. Note: spoken Dutch!
