The tenth edition of the showcase for young ensembles and composers in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. 'An Evening of Today' offers a diverse palette of contemporary music, with composers, ensembles, producers, audiovisual artists and songwriters.

An Evening of Today
In previous editions, composers surprised with unusual setups, balloons, table tennis, video, new playing techniques, frayed nightclub atmospheres, electronics, fake news, a rock band, and even visual music without sound. Among others, Genevieve Murphy, Kate Moore and Rick van Veldhuizen made their debut in recent years.
Music and sound culture are central to An Evening of Today , with composition as the primary focus. The music makers of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam will jointly create an evening-filling program for the Muziekgebouw. An exciting collaboration that explores the boundaries of musical imagination.
