“May my pen be moistened with tears, that it may provoke such wetness in others.” Telemann wrote these words in the foreword to his impressive 'Brockes-Passion'. Telemann's 'Brockes-Passion' still makes a deep impression on listeners. The serene Sinfonia alone that starts this passion will undoubtedly give you goosebumps. But then, the earth trembles and shakes, Mary cries, the apostles are at a loss... The lyricist Brockes places you in the middle of the passion story. Telemann adds an extra dimension with his moving music.
