Black Flower
From driving drums to atmospheric flutes and psychedelic passages, trippy and danceable: Black Flower has excelled for ten years in a hybrid sound that evokes comparisons with Afrobeat, Ethio-jazz and futuristic dub. DJs like LeFtO and Gilles Peterson are crazy about the Belgian band, who have performed all over the world.

The five-piece formation is led by saxophonist, flutist and composer Nathan Daems, who previously played with us with the Ragini Trio. He gathered super talent from Belgian jazz around him, including cornet player Jon Birdsong, who also works with dEUS, Beck and Calexico, and drummer Simon Segers, who often performed with us with De Beren Gieren. This year the new album of Black Flower will be released.
