DEC5 is an annual concert by pianist Tomoko Mukaiyama, every year on December 5th. This year she will perform the famous composition Canto Ostinato, together with Mexican percussionist Diego Espinosa, in De Duif in Amsterdam. For everyone who, for whatever reason, is looking for an alternative to Christmas Eve!

Canto Ostinato
Simeon ten Holt (1923-2012) composed Canto Ostinato between 1976 and 1979, a masterpiece that is still beloved by musicians and listeners worldwide. For many listeners, Canto has a deep, almost life-changing impact and knows how to touch people in a special way. The composition is praised for its ability to create time and space, inviting you to turn inward and listen to your intuition.

Especially for Christmas Eve, the performance in a sacred setting is combined with a homely atmosphere. In De Duif, one of the most iconic churches in Amsterdam, a limited number of guests can enjoy both the musical performance and a sake tasting. OTEMBA SAKE serves special drinks, while Hinaichi Bento serves colorful snacks inspired by Japanese cuisine.
