While social media is often filled with empty chatter, Engel offers a disarmingly honest glimpse into the life of an artist who turns vulnerability into strength. On his new album, Liedjes in Mineur, he does not shy away from getting to the core. He reflects on his first therapy session and openly questions his place in the music industry.

Paul de Munnik, with whom Engel released a joint album in 2022, also makes an unmistakable contribution to this record. During the Liedjes in Mineur tour, Engel, together with guitarist Jesper Huisman, performs a mix of new work and old favorites.

The show on March 1st is almost a home game for Engel, who moved to Amsterdam a few decades ago. The rapper regularly performs in his hometown, such as in 2020, when he played a sold-out show in Paradiso’s upper hall.
