Ilumina - Mozarts Eine kleine Nachtmusik
Talented young people from disadvantaged communities play in the Brazilian orchestra Ilumina. Viola player Jennifer Stumm is the founder and she solos together with violinist Liza Ferschtman in Mozart's 'Sinfonia concertante'. They will also play Mozart's enchanting 'Eine kleine Nachtmusik' in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

Whether there is a modest string quintet on stage or a full string orchestra, Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusik is always a joy to listen to. His serenade for strings is full of attractive melodies that you will not soon forget. Viola player Jennifer Stumm leads the version for string orchestra and solos with violinist Liza Ferschmann in another Mozart masterpiece, the Sinfonia concertante for violin, viola and orchestra. The Brazilian orchestra Ilumina also plays music by Jean-Baptiste Lully and Heitor Villa-Lobos.

Ilumina is a special initiative by the American violist Jennifer Stumm. The orchestra offers talented young people from disadvantaged communities an opportunity to make music together at a high level. What started in 2015 as a small musical talent development project on a Brazilian farm has grown into a successful orchestra that performs with leading international artists from all over the world.
