Christmas concert

The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century brings light into the dark days with a festive Christmas concert. The orchestra, which specializes in the authentic performance of a broad repertoire, goes just a little bit further than the standard Christmas classics this morning. That is to be expected from this world ensemble. But a cheerful and warm Christmas atmosphere is absolutely guaranteed.

Baroque classics

They are all classics from the Baroque, which the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century puts on the music stands. From Handel's exuberant Gloria and Bach's sizzling Cantata 'Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen!' with soprano Nardus Williams, to Corelli's exuberant Christmas Concerto, of which the pastoral final movement is the most famous. It is Christmas through and through! This certainly also applies to Vivaldi's Violin Concerto for Christmas Eve, in which we can recognize the entire nativity scene including angels and shepherds.
