Masterly piano trios Liza Ferschtman, Ivan Karizna + Enrico Pace
Liza Ferschtman and Enrico Pace. Two giants of chamber music who have found each other. In 2019, they gave a brilliant concert in the Muziekgebouw, performing violin sonatas by Beethoven and Enescu. This time, they focus on the relationship between composer Galina Ustvolskaya and her teacher Shostakovich, embedded between masterpieces by Schubert and Brahms. And they bring along the brilliant young French cellist Ivan Karizna.

Masterpieces by Schubert, Brahms, Shostakovich and Ustvolskaya
With his Piano Trio No. 1, Dmitri Shostakovich was still a sapling when he boldly made his mark at the forefront of chamber music. Ustvolskaya, on the other hand, was a composer who found her language with her penetrating Grand Duet, a work like an emotional rollercoaster of symphonic proportions. The most mature work of Brahms and Schubert is also performed. There is no doubt that Liza Ferschtman, Enrico Pace and Ivan Karizna pull out all the stops.
