About the program

The Concerto for Harpsichord and Viola l is an early work composed around 1760. The combination of harpsichord and viola is rare, but the instruments are surprisingly well matched. Pearls in Baroque recorded this work together with Joseph Haydn's Violin Concerto No. 4 for CD, which was received with great acclaim. The leading British music magazine Gramophone concluded: 'Terakado and Amano set the standard in Michael's double concerto'. The programme also includes Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B minor.
