“As we delve into the multifaceted world of the viola, our musical journey is sure to captivate both the mind and the soul,” says violist Sào Soulez Larivière about the program he has in store with pianist Annika Treutler, his musical partner. The ambitious Soulez Larivière was born in Paris, completed his bachelor’s degree with Tabea Zimmermann in Berlin, and then moved on to Germany’s Kronberg Akademie. His instrument is a 2013 Fr��deric Chaudière, on which he plays music ranging from Schumann to Julia Wolfe’s brand-new work Cloth for solo viola and electronics.
