Terrasconcerten 2024 - Around the world with Metropole Cellos
Please note: this concert is sold out. The cellists of the Metropole Orchestra together form a quartet: Metrocelli. Their album of the same name was released in 2021, of course with a wide range of pieces: from the Buena Vista Social Club to Nirvana. The four cellists are simply specialists in crossover. With a good dose of creativity and improvisation, the quartet performs classics from dance, pop and light classical, including some gems from the Metropole repertoire. The arrangements are my own.

Infectious crossover for 4 cellos
Completely in the tradition of the Metropole Orchestra, the cello group presents a versatile sound. Joel Siepmann, Emile Visser, Annie TÃ¥ngberg and Jascha Albracht share a broad taste in music, extensive expertise and a finely tuned antenna for catchy tunes . In addition to songs from the album, they also play a number of their own pieces and new arrangements.
